Fresh apples and a hint of drying hay before a big wave of creamy vanilla and soft, buttery barley. Fluffy pancakes, grilled peach, a delicate hint of marzipan.
Palate
A gentle start with vanilla cream and buttery flapjack soon develops into richly warming spice. Notes of Madeira cake, packed with sultanas, with dustings of fiery cinnamon warming the edges.
Finish
Juicy stewed apples, and dense, woody spice. Anise and clove are joined by herb-infused caramel, black pepper, plus a hint of liquorice, though sweet vanilla cream remains in play.
