Description

The Aber Falls Inaugural Release is the first single malt whisky produced in North Wales in over a century, crafted using 100% Welsh malted barley and rock-filtered water from the Aber Falls waterfall. This 3-year-old whisky was distilled, matured, and bottled on-site in 2021. It was aged in a combination of American Virgin oak, Sherry, and Orange wine casks, resulting in a complex character. This limited edition release consists of 2,000 bottles.

Tropical fruit upfront with coconut, mango, and banana alongside cinnamon, freshly cut grass, rum and raisin ice cream, vanilla, manuka honey, baking spice, oak, sultana, peach, apricot compote, cocoa powder, and orange oil.
Palate
Dark chocolate, golden syrup, creme brulee, slight pine and savoury notes, citrus, mango, pickled ginger, papaya, treacle tart, lemon fizz hard boiled sweets, juicy plump sultanas, candied orange peel, apricot jam, heather honey, milk chocolate, gingerbread, cinnamon, and clove.
Finish
Pleasantly sweet with cream, vanilla, slight spice, dark chocolate, ginger, cinnamon, oak, and dried fruits.
