Description

Aberfeldy 12 Year Old is a Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, known as 'The Golden Dram' due to the gold deposits found in its water source, the Pitilie Burn. Established in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons, the distillery's malt forms the heart of Dewar's blends. This 12-year-old expression is mellowed in handmade oak casks, offering a smooth, sweet, and approachable profile. It is characterized by honeyed notes, fruit, and a hint of spice, making it a classic example of a Highland dram. The distillery employs an unusually long fermentation process of up to 70 hours, contributing to its distinctive character. This whisky is bottled at 40% ABV.
