It is a blend of Scottish and Irish malt and grain whiskies, initially matured in ex-bourbon, virgin American oak, and Oloroso casks, then finished for six months in casks that previously held peated whisky from Islay. This small-batch release, bottled at cask strength, aims to balance the whisky's natural sweetness with subtle peat smoke, maritime character, and nutty depth.
