Description

This gift set features two expressions from the Akashi Gem Series: Akashi Tanzanite Single Malt Whisky and Akashi Ruby Blended Whisky. The Akashi Tanzanite is hand-blended by Eigashima Distillery's toji and aged for 3 years in carefully selected sherry and bourbon casks. It is a single malt whisky. The Akashi Ruby is a blended whisky, also aged over 3 years in sherry, bourbon, and shochu casks. Eigashima Distillery, established in 1888, obtained Japan's first whisky brewing license in 1919.

Palate
(Tanzanite) Fresh sourness and soft sweetness that reminds one of chocolate biscuit, with a slight hint of ginger spice. (Ruby) Clean and smooth, followed by chestnuts, spicy oaks and salted caramel sauce.
Finish
