Description

This Akashi White Oak 5 Year Old Red Wine Cask is a Japanese single malt whisky produced by the Eigashima Shuzo / White Oak distillery. The company has a long history in beverage making, obtaining a whisky license in 1919, and the distillery is located in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. This limited release was aged for 4.5 years in Cognac casks before a 10-month finish in French red wine barrels, resulting in a whisky with a unique character and extraordinary complexity.
