Description

Akkeshi Hakuro Peated Single Malt - 15th Solar Term is the 12th release in Akkeshi Distillery's '24 Sekki Series,' which pays homage to the Japanese solar calendar. Produced by the Akkeshi Distillery in Hokkaido, Japan, this single malt is peated and bottled at 55% ABV in 2023. It is a non-age statement whisky, aged for a minimum of 3 years in a combination of Hokkaido Mizunara, ex-Bourbon, ex-Sherry, and ex-Red Wine casks. The distillery aims to blend traditional Scottish methods with unique Japanese flavors, utilizing its cool, moist climate and peat-filtered water from the Homakai River.
