The Ambassador 12 Year Barrel Proof Bourbon (2020) was distilled in 2006 in Indiana and aged for 12 years in new charred-oak barrels. Oaky and sweet with caramel, vanilla, red apple, cherry, dried orange, lemon, fennel, roasted oak, cinnamon, clove, tobacco, cocoa powder, coffee grounds, and a gentle floral character. Hints of mint, ginger, and pipe tobacco.
Palate
Velvety and gentle with caramel, honey, vanilla, fennel, cherry, orange, pear, roasted oak, cinnamon, clove, and some port-like funk. Notes of strawberry, milk chocolate, almond, white pepper, and tobacco leaf.
Finish
Roasty coffee grounds and cocoa powder, followed by honey, licorice, roasted vanilla buttercream, cranberry, fresh orange, and tobacco. Creamy with milk chocolate, drizzled caramel, sweet corn, brown sugar, and leather, wrapped in toasted oak.
