Description

Amrut Single Malt Whisky from India was launched officially in Glasgow in 2004. This Amrut Indian Madeira Finish is a special limited edition, aged primarily in ex-Bourbon casks before a lengthy finishing period in ex-Madeira casks sourced from family cooperages in Spain and Portugal. It uses Indian barley from the Punjab and is distilled in Bangalore at 3000ft. Only 4800 bottles were produced.

Almond (marzipan), toffee, coconut shavings, vanilla pod, golden syrup, orange peels, peaches, mango, spiced honey, candied ginger, rich, balanced, tart, syrupy, deep bitter spicy woodiness, slightly savory.
Palate
Almond cake, sweet orange, toffee, fruity tease, velvety, richer and fruitier than regular Amrut, sweet fruity blast, jammy, marmaladey, spices, oak, heat, cherry, mango, pineapple, rich coconut, plum jam, honey, vanilla, caramel sauce, unsalted peanuts, ginger cake, roasted/nutty, earthy spice (nutmeg, liquorice), tobacco leaves, walnuts.
Finish
Citrus finish with a hint of toffee, refreshing end, long, lingering with intense oaks, sherry bomb profile, fruits lingering, dark fruits, coconut, sweet and spicy, nutty dryness.
