Nose
Pencil shavings, orange squash, cedar-wood blocks, and caramel-poached apricots. Lemon zest top notes and a whiff of thyme. Rich and floral, honeyed, nutty, new oak, vanilla, lifted fruit aromas of citrus and tropical fruits.
Palate
Medium body, with dried pineapple, gentle black tea tannin, and muscovado. Juicy papaya, candied ginger, capsicum, and glace cherry. Candied fruits, subtle oak with a light dusting of peat and integrated spice.
Finish
More brown sugar and gentle tannins dry things out to finish back with thyme. Warming and complex with a dry, long finish. Smoky, spicy, with cinnamon and nutmeg, and a touch of fruit-sweetness as it faded to tobacco at the end.
