Nose
Light and well-balanced with notes of malted barley, honey, and subtle spices. Hints of fresh fruit salad, red apple, and lemon are present, along with a touch of oak and a faint, flowery perfume. Some sources also detect a light peatiness and vanilla.
Palate
Medium-bodied and smooth, offering flavors of calvados, barley, and honey, complemented by mixed peels and oak. There are also notes of sweet red apple, citrus, and a gentle peaty touch. Caramel, toasted oak, and soft spices contribute to a complex and rounded profile, with some detecting a distinctive rhubarb note.
Finish
A medium to long finish with lingering notes of oak and caramel. It is often described as soft with a spicy tingle, and can have a leathery or gently smoky character, leaving a warm and balanced impression.
