Description

The Archie Rose Dry Grown Rye Malt Whisky, Harvest 2019, is the second release in their Harvest Whisky series. It is crafted using ancient varieties of barley and heirloom rye, grown by the Whytcross family in New South Wales during severe drought conditions. The grains were not irrigated, hence the 'Dry Grown' name, and include ancient purple and black malts. This multi-layered whisky aims to reflect the harsh but common Australian conditions, with partial fermentation using wild yeasts. It is matured in ex-Apera casks.
