Nose
Red berry fruit and a soft floral lift over peat smoke, with vanilla, cherry and a faint herbal note behind. Sweet cherries, cereals, barbecue smoke, some earth tones and a nice waft of oakiness.
Palate
Sweeter and fruitier than expected, with red fruit and cherry set against firm peat smoke, dark chocolate and a fine grained tannic grip. Bitter cherry, blackberry compote, dark plum, and baked summer pudding layered alongside espresso, charred oak, black pepper, and earthy mineral undertones.
Finish
Long and layered, closing on smoke, red fruit sweetness and a dry lingering ash. Lingering dark fruit and roasted nuances. Long, delightfully smoky finish.
