Description

Ardbeg Heavy Vapours is the 2023 Ardbeg Day limited edition release. This experimental expression was distilled without the use of a purifier on the spirit still, a device usually responsible for Ardbeg's signature balance of fruit and smoke. By removing it, the heavier, oilier vapours were allowed to pass into the spirit, resulting in a more robust and pungent profile. Matured in refill bourbon casks and bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration.
