Nose
Fragrant with lots of vanilla and chocolate laced with spice and hazelnuts. Smoke from peat fires, sea salt and tarry rope is also present in abundance. After a moment or two suggestions of grape skins, digestive biscuits and toffee cracknel emerge to complete this complex expression.
Palate
The mouth feel is full, tingly and warming. Sea salt and seaweed, smoky wood and bonfires with dark bitter chocolate are all at the fore.
Finish
As the smokiness fades tart fruit skins (grapes/plums) combines with liquorice and spice, these all complimented by faint hints of lemon oil.
