Nose
Fresh, clean, and salving, with hints of pine resin, aniseed, sea spray, and lavender soap. It is gentle, restrained, and elegant for an Ardbeg, with a distinctive, flinty minerality, subtle sweet peat smoke, malted barley, and a touch of toasting bread.
Palate
A beautiful, creamy texture with a lovely combination of aniseed toffee, café latte, fennel, and gentle antiseptic soap. Bold peat smoke intertwines with rich toffee, dried fruits, and subtle spices, though the peat smoke is present in a very restrained manner.
Finish
Lingering, with chewy oak, cocoa powder, and tar, along with gentle smoke, vanilla, lemon, and a touch of pepper.
