Description

The Ardnamurchan AD/10 10th Anniversary Edition is the distillery's first official 10-year-old single malt, released in 2024 to celebrate a decade of operation since its founding in 2014. This limited edition of 15,000 bottles is crafted from 100% unpeated spirit, distilled in 2014. It was primarily matured in first-fill ex-bourbon casks, with approximately half of the batch undergoing a finishing period of over a year in Champagne Paul Launois barriques. Bottled at 50% ABV, it is non-chill filtered and retains its natural color.

Nose
Rich, vibrant, and engaging with tropical fruits (pineapple, banana, mango, grapefruit), orange blossom, demerara sugar, creamy vanilla, dark chocolate, toasted coconut, unsalted peanuts, beeswax, chalk, sandalwood, syrup-drizzled pancakes, and floral orchard blossom.
Palate
Full-bodied and rich with a great waxy texture. Tropical fruits (pineapple, mango, tangerine), honeyed sweetness, warming spices (white pepper, cinnamon, ginger), nutty undertones, oak spices, buttered toast, apricot yogurt, white grape, blood orange, limestone, wet minerals, and a slight effervescence.
Finish
Medium to medium-long, creamy, waxy mouthfeel, slightly dry but balanced. Lingering notes of pineapple, ginger, honey, mandarin, strawberry lemonade, golden syrup, cereals, stewed apples, malted barley, spicy oak, and a restrained peat note.
