Description

Located upon the breathtaking Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan distillery is a comparatively new powerhouse which opened for production in 2014. Champions for green manufacturing, the distillery and all of its by-products are environmentally friendly and entirely sustainable. Ardnamurchan uses malt from Broomhill Farm and boasts two whisky styles; one peated and one unpeated, using American and European casks. The Ardnamurchan AD/ The Midgie is a limited edition Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a marriage of peated and unpeated spirit, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon barrels, Port barriques, and sherry casks, bottled at 48% ABV without chill filtration or artificial coloring.

Gammon ham with torched pineapple, prunes dipped in salt. Strawberry jam on a salty cracker, almond oil, coconut macaroon, spearmint.
Palate
Salt-baked pear, meadowsweet, wildflowers, lemon thyme. Sultanas, cherrywood embers, cocoa powder, pink peppercorns.
Finish
A gentle puff of enticing, buoyant smoke. Himalayan pink salt, red currant cordial. A constant mingling of sweet and salty. Dry, lengthy finish.
