Description

'As We Get It' is bottled directly from its original cask, at natural strength, without chill-filtration or added colour. It is a product of Ian Macleod & Co. Ltd., with only the very best casks of Highland Single Malt selected. Each cask is personally selected, and the whisky is not chill-filtered and no water is added, allowing its natural character to remain unaltered. The colour and strength vary with each bottling.

Nose
Intense aromas of ripe fruit, vanilla, and a hint of spices. Rich malt, honey, vanilla, oak spice, and hints of dried fruit. Sweet, notes of sherry, caramel, honey. Barley candy, plum jam, mint leaves and milk chocolate. Sultanas in spirit, plums, cooked pears, marzipan, caramel, liquorice root. Candied orange and milk chocolate.
Palate
Full-bodied with notes of honey, spice, and a subtle malt sweetness. Powerful and full-bodied with flavours of sweet malt, caramel, peppery spice, toasted oak, and dark fruit. Fruity, notes of sherry, vanilla. Dates and dried fruit glide oily, with a cheerful peppery thrust, accompanied again by prunes and sultanas with a sprinkling of cinnamon and nutmeg, along with candied orange, caramel and chocolate.
Finish
Long-lasting, spicy, and warming with slightly smoky nuances. Long and warming with lingering spice, oak, and malt sweetness. Long on the palate. Fairly long finish of hazelnuts, liquorice, caramel and wood.
