Description

A malt distillery in Speyside and part of the Scotch whisky holdings of Bacardi Limited through their John Dewar & Sons division. The distillery has been associated with Dewar's since 1923 and has remained closely-associated with its blends ever since. This 18-year-old Aultmore single malt from Speyside was distilled in 2006 and matured in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, bottled at cask strength without chill filtration or added color.

Nose
Deep aromas of dark fruits such as plums, raisins, and dried figs, combined with notes of dark chocolate and caramel. A subtle hint of roasted nuts, leather, and cinnamon adds extra complexity.
Palate
Full-bodied and intense with rich sherry tones, honeyed dates, and dark roasted coffee beans. The influence of the Oloroso sherry cask brings layers of spice, such as nutmeg and clove, while a hint of orange zest and oak provides perfect balance.
Finish
Long and smooth with lingering oak and spice.
