Balblair is owned by InverHouse Distillers and boasts one of the oldest histories of any distillery in Scotland. The distillery owes a huge debt to lawyer and energetic businessman Robert "Bertie" Cumming who purchased the distillery in 1948 after years of silence and went on to expand and modernise the distillery. Part of this modernisation includes a contemporary visitor centre running excellent ... Balblair Distillery is a Scotch whisky distillery located in Edderton, Ross-shire, Scotland. Founded in 1790, the distillery was rebuilt in 1895. Balblair Single Malt Whisky is bottled in vintages, with the design inspired by the nearby Pictish stone Clach Biorach. This 1997 vintage is a refined Highland single malt Scotch whisky, part of Balblair's famous vintage series, matured in oak casks.
