Description
Ballantine's is a historic Scottish blending company, best known for its Ballantine's blended Scotch brand, founded in 1827. It was acquired by Hiram Walker-Gooderham & Worts in 1935 and is today a non-trading subsidiary of the Pernod Ricard group. The brand's fillings were partly provided by a former grain distillery built by Hiram Walker & Sons in 1938, notable for its use of stainless steel rather than copper column stills, and which briefly housed the Inverleven malt distillery within its complex.
