Description

The third legal distillery to be built on the Orkney Isles, established in 1885 and today part of the Pernod Ricard Scotch whisky holdings. It is notable for its experimentation with Lomond stills under Hiram Walker ownership, and continues to use these today (albeit without the rectifying plates). A historic Scottish blending company that is best-known for its Ballantine's blended Scotch brand. This special edition of Ballantine's 17 Year Old highlights the character of Scapa, one of the distilleries at the heart of the blend, and was launched in December 2012 as a Travel Retail exclusive in Asia.
