Description

The Balvenie is a highly-regarded malt distillery in Speyside, owned by William Grant & Sons. This Balvenie 1997 DCS Compendium 19 Year Old Chapter Two is part of the extensive DCS Compendium, a limited edition collection of five single cask whiskies celebrating Malt Master David Stewart MBE. This particular bottling, distilled in August 1997 and aged in a European Port puncheon until September 2016, is one of only 265 bottles. The theme of Chapter Two is 'The Influence of Oak,' highlighting how different oak casks influence the whisky's flavor during maturation.
