Description
The Balvenie 21 Year Old PortWood is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Speyside region, produced by the Grant family in Dufftown. This expression is a marriage of rare Balvenie whiskies, initially matured in traditional oak casks (ex-bourbon) for 21 years, before undergoing a finishing period in 30-year-old port pipes. The process is overseen by Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE, who regularly samples the whisky to ensure the port casks impart the right character, enhancing the single malt while preserving its original characteristics. First released in 1996, this whisky is considered one of David C. Stewart's finest creations and has received numerous industry awards.
