Description

This is a 6-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Ben Nevis distillery, independently bottled by Murray McDavid. Distilled in 1999 and bottled in 2005 at 46% ABV, it was matured in Bourbon and Port casks. This limited edition release consists of 6000 bottles and is non-chill filtered. It was bottled at Bruichladdich in 2005 with Islay Spring Water.

Nose
Strongly fruity with strawberries, raspberries, apples, rosehip jam, coconut flakes, vanilla, roasted nuts, nutmeg, and a hint of wax. Also notes of green barley, peach, honey-soaked challah bread, floral rosehip, spearmint, orange blossom, shortbread cookies, and a slight waxy character.
Palate
Rich and balanced with vanilla, toffee, raisins, multi-berry jam, honey nuts, milk chocolate, licorice, tobacco, and a drop of soy sauce. Features spiced sandalwood, ripe tropical fruit, buttery pastries, dark chocolate, rich oak, mangosteen, yellow plums, golden raisins, Earl Grey tea, Turkish Delight, and a hint of sea salt.
Finish
Medium-long and juicy, with notes of red fruits, brown sugar, vanilla, candied ginger, and a hint of oak. Also features soft oaky tannins, ripe pineapple, Granny Smiths, lime candies, parsley, old pencils, spun sugar, and a pleasant fizz with pepper and grass in the aftertaste.
