Nose
Nuts n' wood n' spices. Warming notes of nougat cream, nutmeg and old furniture. Burnt gingerbread cookies, stewed apples and plum jelly. Aromas are dense, full and dusty, blending and harmonizing very well.
Palate
Sherry-matured Speysider fills the mouth with nutty and fruity flavors: hazelnuts, chocolate nips, raisins, dark grapes, brambles, mirabelles and strawberry-infused toffee. Yeast dough and buttered toast. Spirit is weighty and overproof ABV is exactly right.
Finish
Becomes a bit lighter. Apricots, peaches and apple pie together with macadamia nuts, caramel bars and floral notes. An ounce of spice, darker fruits covered in cocoa powder. Delicious finale lasts pretty long.
