Cherry and blackberry stand out, with red fruits balanced by roasted nuts, dark fudge and subtle spice. That contrast sounds appealing, and the long, complex finish gives the character room to develop.

Fruit and dark fudge seem to lead; the sherry-cask link feels less clear.

Cherry and blackberry with chocolate ganache sounds like a good balance of fruit and darker notes. On the palate, red fruits meet roasted nuts, dark fudge and subtle spices; that shift toward richer flavours is the part I find appealing. The bottle is labelled unpeated, but that alone doesn’t settle how much smoke comes through in the flavour. Since the notes don’t describe smoke, I wouldn’t call it smoke-free. It sounds more focused on fruit and richness than on smoke.

The red fruits, roasted nuts and dark fudge make a rich combination, with subtle spice adding another layer. I’m not fully convinced oak is the main draw here; the fruit and fudge seem to lead the description.
