Historical context
In the late 1960s, single malt bottlings were beginning to emerge. In those days, the distillation techniques were unbridled compared to today, and they produced some outstandingly good results from the unhurried and artisanal approach.

Nose
Slowly the plump, almost overripe tropical fruits emerge alongside vetiver, tobacco leaf, dried lime, and old leather. Also notes of barley, dried fruits, apricot, and citrus.
Palate
Very gentle, softly structured and supple. Fruity and fresh, with notes of tropical fruit, zesty citrus, Seville orange, peach, passion fruit, vanilla, and chocolate biscuit. Wood spices and nuts are also present.
Finish
Long and elegant, with a nutty character. Tannins and wood resins softly remind of its years in cask, with a slight hint of delicious bittersweet treacle.
