Nose
Warm slabs of tangy peat, hints of chocolate, coffee, cedar, spices, walnuts, almond, cinnamon, oily smoke. Fresh, salty, clean, developing to sweet malt dried over peat. Earthy tones, damp soil, dew-covered grass, bitter dark chocolate, sea salt, freshly roasted coffee beans, rich and oaky wood.
Palate
Simple, easy-going, delicious. Heavy smoke, cut grass, peanut, spices, peat. Sea air, peaty tang, sea-soaked ropes with an oily mouthfeel. Grass and earthy tones, walnuts, peanuts. Intense and rich smoke with a slight dryness. Ashes, sweet tar, beaches, smoking chimneys.
Finish
Quite abrupt with cut grass, coastal notes, and smoke. Long and lingering, replicating the palate with salty, tangy licorice, smoke, bonfire ashes, and a phenolic quality. Sea air still there, peat makes a final, lasting impression.
