Description

A remarkable marriage of only malt whiskies, exclusively from Islay. This limited edition Big Peat carries a long, sooty, beachy, oceanic, and seriously peaty selection of malts distilled only on Scotland's whisky island of Islay, including those from Ardbeg, Caol Ila, Bowmore, and Port Ellen. Douglas Laing's Islay distilleries are known for their predominantly peaty, smoky character, offering variations on the theme of ash, kiln embers, coal dust, and seaweed. Big Peat, the bearded Islay fisherman, encapsulates that feisty spirit of Islay in this very bottle. It is bottled at high alcohol strength (48% vol.) and is proudly offered without chill-filtration, ensuring a genuine, natural character of the big peated spirit to reign supreme. This is an exclusive bottling for Germany, limited to 1,200 bottles, celebrating Munich. [2, 3, 5, 7]
