Nose
Sweet and malty with notes of dessert wine, pepper, honey, mustard seeds, dried fruits, nutmeg, cloves, and a hint of barrel char. There are also hints of floral sweetness, light peat, dried apricot, fermenting hay, pilsner beer, yeast, and mellow vanilla.
Palate
Medium-bodied with sweetness, apples, pears, icing sugar, black pepper, wet oak, ginger, vanilla, and medicinal peat smokiness. It also presents as sweet, grainy, slightly medicinal, with vanilla clove spice, nougat, lemon, melted vanilla ice cream, and sherbet. A faint ashy, peaty note is noticeable.
Finish
Short to medium-long with fruity sweetness, oaky spices, black pepper, ginger, basil, clove, cinnamon, and vanilla. It has a pleasant warmth and a slightly peaty ending.
