Description

Bivrost Yggdrasil 2024 is the first core range expression from Aurora Spirit, the world's northernmost distillery located in Arctic Norway. This single malt whisky is handcrafted from slightly smoky Nordic barley malt, fermented with glacial meltwater, and distilled on a sustainable copper still. It is matured in Oloroso seasoned and in-house charred casks within a wooden Viking longhouse, with maturation ages varying between 4 and 6 years. This 2024 release is limited to 9009 numbered bottles and is part of an annual small batch release.

Palate
Massive complexity, velvety mouthfeel, toasted oak, caramelised mandarins, hints of peat, peppery start, dark chocolate, hints of orange peel lightly dusted with soot, walnut, smoky chilli.
Finish
Long and pleasant, elegant long lasting aftertaste, relatively short with lingering milk chocolate, white pepper, subtle orange notes, fruity and spicy.
