Description

From the misty forests of the Black Forest in Germany comes Blackforest Wild Whisky Peated, an artisanal single malt whisky produced by the Wild distillery. Made from domestic summer barley dried under peat fire, this peated expression embodies the wild spirit of its native soil. The mash undergoes a quick fermentation and is then triple distilled. It matures for 6 years in a combination of American white oak, Bourbon, and Cognac casks, which contribute to its fruity character and harmonize with the smokiness. This whisky has received recognition, including being named the best whisky in Germany (ISW) in 2019. [1, 3, 4, 6, 7, 11]
