Description

A historic Kentucky distillery and the oldest still operating in the state, Buffalo Trace is the flagship production facility of the Sazerac Company. Blanton's Gold Edition Single Barrel Bourbon is crafted for those who seek something rare, building on the legacy of the world's first single barrel bourbon with even greater intensity. Originally created for discerning international markets, this expression offers a higher proof and a deeper, spicier complexity. Each bottle is drawn from a single cask, aged 6-8 years in Buffalo Trace's famed Warehouse H, and bottled uncut and non-chill-filtered at 103 proof (51.5% ABV). It is primarily distributed outside the U.S., with a notable allocation for the Japanese market.

Hints of spicy rye and tobacco, caramel and honey, dark fruit and citrus notes, vanilla, fresh pancakes, and faint pipe tobacco.

A thick and rich mouthfeel with rye, tobacco, and honey at the forefront. Flavors of vanilla, rye spice, raw honey, light caramel, nutmeg, oak, green apples, cinnamon, and a tingly heat with peppery spice, dark chocolate, and orange zest.
Finish
An extremely long and harmonious finish with baking spices, oak tannin, creme brûlée, vanilla sweetness, chocolate shavings, raw honey, rye, charred aged wood, leather, and a pleasant dry heat.
