Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. Under their ownership is has been nurtured into one of the most collectable names in Scotch whisky. A German independent bottling company, located in Pirmasens. It was founded in 2005 and is run by Michael Lelle and Jens Owczarek. The company also trades under The Rum Cask name.
