Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779, Bowmore is now part of the Suntory Group. This Black Bowmore 1964 Final Edition is a legendary 31-year-old Islay single malt, distilled in 1964 and bottled in 1995. It was the third of three annual releases of Black Bowmore during 1993, 1994, and 1995, and was matured in Oloroso sherry casks. This release comprised 1,812 individually numbered bottles and is highly regarded among whisky collectors.

Palate

subtle and lingering with a good balance of sweetness and earthiness.
