Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by them in 1994. This Bowmore 15 Year Old 'Darkest' is matured in an inspired combination of both bourbon and sherry casks, with the final three years spent in Oloroso sherry casks. This extended sherry cask maturation gives the whisky its deep color and complex character, balancing Bowmore's signature gentle peat smoke with rich dried fruit sweetness.
