Description

The oldest operational distillery on the isle of Islay, built in 1779. Today it is part of the Suntory Group, having been acquired by the Japanese company in 1994. This Bowmore 1997 Hand Filled is a distillery-exclusive, limited edition single malt, bottled in 2013 for Feis Ile. It was matured for 16 years in a first-fill Oloroso sherry butt, Cask No. 23, and is part of the 1st Edition of the Hand-Filled series, with an outturn of 600 bottles. Each bottle comes with its own jute bag and certificate of authenticity.
