Description

This Bowmore 23 Year Old 'No Corners To Hide' is a limited-edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky, released in 2021 as part of a series in collaboration with graphic artist Frank Quitely. It was matured for 21 years in American oak hogsheads and then finished for two years in Essencia® Rose Oak barriques. This expression was released exclusively through travel retail with an outturn of 6,666 bottles. The series is inspired by the legend of the devil and Bowmore's round church.

Palate
Sweet notes of golden syrup, acacia honey, and marzipan, with a peaty, sooty taste and an oily, peppery mouthfeel. Flavors of old oranges, hay peat, red fruitiness, sherry spices, toffee, and orange candy.
Finish
Subtle peat smoke, brine, and oak, with a long, enveloping warmth. Notes of stewed figs, wisps of port, and smokey maraschino cherries.
