Description

Distilled in February 1982 and bottled in 2011, this limited release of just 501 bottles was aged for 29 years in Bowmore Distillery's Number 1 Vaults, Scotland's oldest maturation warehouse. Nurtured in specially selected fine oak casks, this rare spirit is part of the distillery's vintage series. It is presented in a wooden gift box with a leather strap and copper buckle, and each bottle comes with a numbered certificate signed by the Distillery Manager Eddie MacAffer.

Delicate aromas of barley sugar and gentle peat smoke, coupled with delicious Peach Melba ice-cream and vanilla pods, alongside salty fruity notes of pineapple, ripe watermelon, and pear drops with light smoked oak.
Palate
Fresh lemon pepper leads to a warm, earthy smokiness, with prominent smoky notes on a lightly salty palate, vegetal/seaweed flavours, and more subdued fruity notes of overripe banana.
Finish
A lingering sweet, fruity finish that harmonizes with subtle smokiness, continuing with smoky vegetal notes and delicate coconut flavours.
