- Nose
- Nice cigar boxes and ashes, tarry boat ropes, hints of horse saddles and hessian, engine oils and chlorophyll. Typical umami Bowmoreness, with tropical fruits like mango, pink grapefruit, blood orange, guava, and apricots. Rich fruitcake, liquorice sticks, barbecued apples, charred mango, creosote, sea-drenched rope, burlap, dried seaweed, iodine, and tobacco leaves.
- Palate
- Stewed forest fruits and blackberry jam, salty notes, crushed black peppercorns, light meaty notes, kippers, dark chocolate, and tarry notes. Liquorice, rosemary, smoked fig, coal dust, and leather. Distinctly Bowmore with a generous dose of old sherry cask, sea spray, fruit, flowers, raisin jam, and blackcurrant sauce. Fruity peat, raspberry jam, pink grapefruit, ashes, charcoal, sage, thyme, and a tinge of leather.
- Finish
- Very long, on salty notes, earthy smoke, lingering fruits, beautiful salty brine, gentle peat, and a big fruity finale. Bright fruits, red berries, and peat smoke.
