Description

The Brora distillery (originally Clynelish) produced a heavily peated style of whisky between May 1969 and July 1973 to address a shortage of peated whiskies for blending. In July 1973, Brora reverted back to a lightly peated Highland style and by 1983, the distillery was mothballed. This Douglas Laing Old Malt Cask bottling was distilled in February 1971 and bottled in December 1999 after 28 years of maturation.
