Description

This Bruichladdich 3D3 Norrie Campbell Tribute bottling is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled in 2006 at 46% ABV. It is a tribute to Norrie Campbell, the last traditional peat cutter of the Isle of Islay, who passed away in the year it was bottled. This 'Third Edition' is a blend of three vintages, three warehouses, and three different peating levels. It notably contains unpeated Bruichladdich, Port Charlotte (peated to 40 ppm), and Octomore (peated to 80.5 ppm), marking the first time Octomore was used in a Bruichladdich release. The whisky is non-chill filtered.

Sweet and buttery with vanilla, nutmeg, brown sugar, toasted coconut, big pork fat, lime sherbet, scented oak, shellfish, light-roast coffee beans, coastal peat smoke, seaweed, peaty lollipop feeling, strong and peppery, caramel sweetness, and a bit bitter oak.
Finish
Medium-length, sweet, with brown sugar, butter, banana, candied ginger, tropical flowers, sugar snap peas, lingering slight earthiness, minerality, peppery, ashy, and delicious peat smoke.
