Nose
Quite fruity. Lots of berries. Grapes as well. A bit winey. Bananas. The fruity notes are similar to cognac. Maybe a bit of fresh tobacco as well. Also notes of dark chocolate, nuts, earthy cinnamon, earthy spices and a bone dry earth cellar. Minerals and pebbles, plums, sugary porridge, damp wood and apple sauce—even a bit of burlap. Sweet barley, dark honey and a subtle floral influence.
Palate
Thick and rich mouthfeel. Quite sweet. Orange marmalade. Apple sauce. Berries. Honey. Dry earthy notes and malty. Medium to full bodied, creamy and malty. White pepper, hints of ashes. Earth cellar with a small sack of coal. Vanilla and orchard fruits. Oily with an interplay between saltiness and sweetness. Old school feel with raw notes of heather, bandaids, barley, orris root and pickled lemons.
Finish
Medium finish. Woody and dry with tobacco notes. More maltiness and drying. Medium to long finish with plums, grape juice, and honey. Deep and dark, yet very sweet with layer upon layer of fruity sweetness. Long.
