Nose
Peat smoke, burning lavender, warm earth, sage, rosemary, floral notes, some sweetness, vanilla and cocoa. A heat-haze of peat smoke, bog myrtle, heather, wild thyme and juniper. Floral bouquet of yellow, riverside, summer flowers. Barley fields just before harvest, with sweet vanilla notes of Bourbon-soaked oak. Lemon zest and clover honey.
Palate
Vanilla, sweet cereals, warm slabs of tangy peat, young maltiness and chili spice. Notes of Nutella spread as well as walnut loaf, caramelised bananas and dark chocolate. Lean and muscular with the smoldering heat of a heath fire. Rich butterscotch and dark chocolate, complemented by cherrywood smoke and spiced ginger, with a creamy texture.
Finish
Great length, with the warming, spicy peat notes tingling the tongue for minutes. A very long and winding road of mellowness, ending on a beautiful sunset of smoke and fruit syrup. Prolonged and balanced with honeyed vanilla undertones and a lingering peaty presence.
