Description

Released at Bruichladdich's Rock'Ndaal day during Fèis Ìle 2026, this expression is a reimagining of Octomore Black Art (OBA), a series first introduced by head distiller Adam Hannett in 2016 in which all production details, including age, phenol level and cask composition, are intentionally undisclosed. Distilled from 100% Scottish barley and bottled at 54.2% ABV, it is limited to 2,500 bottles, issued to mark the 25th anniversary of Bruichladdich's 2001 reopening.

Nose
Peat smoke drifts gradually at first, with whispers of honeysuckle and geranium leaf, followed by bright tropical fruits, melon, mango, sun-ripened peach, stewed orchard apples, apricot jam, vanilla crème brûlée, zesty orange marmalade, smoked barley, and gingerbread spice.
Palate
Exceptionally rich and viscous on the palate, oily and rounded with jammy stone fruits, tropical sweetness, roasted marzipan, salted hazelnuts, toasted oak, supple worn leather, cracked black pepper, nutmeg, and gingerbread.
Finish
Long and elegant with echoes of sweet, charred oak and tropical fruit slowly surrendering to lingering accents of ethereal peat smoke.
