Description

This Bruichladdich 2003 Organic Anns An T-Seann Doigh is the distillery's first completely organic release, certified by the Biodynamic Association. The name 'Anns An T-Seann Doigh' is Gaelic for 'In the traditional way'. Distilled in 2003 and bottled in 2009, this 6-year-old single malt was matured in bourbon and American oak casks. It was released as a limited edition of 15,000 bottles and is noted for being unpeated and non-chill filtered.

Warm and soft, with fructose sweetness of citrus and apples, floral notes, and a delicate smokey undercurrent. Hints of creamy milk, old cut hay, bright citrus, and vanilla.
Palate
Citrus and orchard fruits, creamy texture with a cereal edge and a hint of oak. Smooth and rich, offering vanilla custard, whipped cream, brown sugar, and malt. A subtle white pepper hit and almost no peat.
Finish
Medium, lingering with a little spice. The rich creaminess dries to vanilla and nutmeg, with a lightly zesty and sweet character, and a subtle wisp of smoke.
