Nose
The smoke is calmed by the marine, ozone character. Dry and earthy smoke allows oak to come forward with golden caramel, fudge, vanilla custard, ginger, nutmeg, and clove. Citrus notes of lemon meringue and clementine, with floral aromas of wild thyme, heather, and sea pink.
Palate
Noticeable delicacy and softness in texture. Superb balance of flavor with smoke loosely wrapping around sweetness from the oak. Notes of coconut, vanilla custard, lemon honey, smoked oysters, and sun-baked salty sand. Bold Islay peat and wood spices balanced with toasted nuts.
Finish
Sublime, smoky with soft sweetness of fudge and malted barley. Orange, mango, and Banoffee pie notes. Layers interchange with ripe apple and apricot, intertwined with malt and oak sweetness and a typical Port Charlotte dry smoke. Long and smoky with spicy pepper and fruity sweetness. Lingering aftertaste of campfire wood smoke.
