The Bruichladdich Eighteen 'Re/Define' is an 18-year-old unpeated Islay single malt Scotch whisky, part of the 'Luxury Redefined' range launched in 2024. It was distilled in 2004 from Scottish barley, including Islay-grown barley, and matured exclusively on Islay primarily in ex-bourbon casks with some Sauternes and Port casks. It is bottled at 50% ABV, non-chill filtered, and without artificial coloring.

Nose
Bright citrus zest and ripe orchard fruits (green apple, pear, apricot, peach, honeysuckle) lead, with vanilla, creamed coconut, honeyed malt, gentle floral notes, a hint of sea breeze, and soft oak spice.
Palate
Rich and layered, balancing creamy toffee, lemon curd, and fresh peach with toasted almonds and coconut from the bourbon casks. Waves of honey-drizzled cereal and buttery pastry meet dried apricot and subtle tropical fruit from the Sauternes influence, with a warming prickle of ginger and clove. Salinity emerges alongside vanilla and apricot butter, weaving through layers of tropical fruit and toasted oak.
Finish
Long, elegant, and gently coastal, with lingering malt sweetness, salted caramel, and a delicate trace of wine-poached fruits. Citrus orange, melon, and ground ginger trail off slowly, with a subtle maritime salinity and residual honey sweetness, oak, white pepper, and pipe tobacco.
